I feel overwhelmed with the graciousness and generosity of everyone's support for this event. In particular, Ambassador Vimont and the French Republic have once again proven how supportive they are, and I cherish their friendship and support for fighting one of the world's most sinister diseases. All of you have my heartfelt thanks for underwriting the hopes and dreams of those who suffer from cancer. Both Dana Farber and The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Sciences are at the forefront of cutting edge research and revolutionary treatments against this insidious destroyer of life. It is a rare honor and privilege to be associated with all of you on this special night, where we celebrate life itself, and the hope of better lives for those who suffer from this disease.
A million thanks,
Robert M. Parker, Jr.
